SMS Syntax

1. Mobile Registration

If you are new to eSewa, you can register to eSewa sending a text message. To register in eSewa, type REG in your message and send it to 32121. You will get SMS from eSewa (32121). The SMS contains your eSewa login ID (your mobile number, online login password, and 4 digit MPIN (Mobile Personal Identification Number).
Note: If you are already an eSewa Customer you can add your mobile number to your account. Please log in to eSewa using web device.

2. Balance Inquiry

A user can inquire balance of registered eSewa account belonging to him/her and balance information of the account is sent through SMS. To request balance inquiry please type <MPIN><space>BAL and send to 32121.
e.g. : 1234 BAL

3. Change MPIN

eSewa users are provided with a 4 digit system generated MPIN after successful registration. We suggest you to change the system generate MPIN so that it is easy to remember and recall. You should keep MPIN secret. To change MPIN please type in your message <Current MPIN><space>CPIN><space><New MPIN> and send to 32121.
E.g.: 1234 CPIN 4321
Note: MPIN is your mobile identification. If you forget MPIN or you lost your cell phone, please call eSewa customer care as soon as possible.

4. Recharge Cards

eSewa user is able to buy Nepal Telecom CDMA, GSM prepaid recharge cards, and DishHome Recharge Cards. To buy recharge card please type <MPIN><space>RC<space><Card Codes> send to 32121.
E.g. To buy Rs 100 NT GSM recharge card: 1234 RC NG100

5 .Ncell/NT /Landline TOPUP

eSewa users can TOPUP balance to Ncell/NT /Landline Number. Before sending the SMS, please double check the number to minimize risks. To TOPUP balance please type in your message:
<MPIN><space>TOPUP<space>AMOUNT<space><NUMBER> and send to 32121.
E.g: 1234 TOPUP 100 9840060775.

Note: For NTC Recharge card, please send it to 32121

For Landline TOPUP

6. ADSL TOPUP

eSewa users can TOPUP unlimited balance to ADSL. Before sending the SMS, please double check the number to minimize risks. To TOPUP balance please type in your message

7. DishHome TopUp

To TopUp balance to DishHome please type in your message<MPIN><space>PAY<space>DH<space>AMOUNT <space>AccountNumber and send to 32121.

8. SimTV TopUp

To TopUp balance to SimTV please type in your message<MPIN> <space> PAY<space> SIMTV<space> AMOUNT <space> Customer Id and send to 32121.
E.g: 1234 PAY SIMTV 500 1000######

9. Transfer Money

eSewa users can transfer funds from him/her eSewa account. Users can send funds to their friends, coworkers or to anyone. Users can send funds to a valid email address or Mobile Numbers of Nepal (NTC and NCELL GSM subscriber only). To transfer funds please type in your message
<MPIN><space>SEND<space>Amount<space><Email ID or Mobile number> and send to 32121.
E.g.: 1234 SEND 100 esewa@esewa.com.np

10. Mini Statement

A user can inquire for a mini statement of the latest transactions of registered eSewa account belonging to him/her and latest 5 transaction information of the account is sent through SMS. To check mini statement please type in your message <MPIN><space>MT and send to 32121.
E.g: 1234 MT

11. Transaction Status

Using mobile, eSewa users can check the detail transaction status of their transaction. Users should have the transaction number of the transaction, which users will get in SMS after a successful transaction. To check the transaction status please type  <MPIN><space>STATUS<space><Transaction ID> and send to 32121.
E.g: 1234 STATUS 00000A
