eSewa Tariffs

These tariffs were last updated on October 18, 2021 and are applicable from October 18, 2021.

eSewa is Nepal’s first mobile wallet. eSewa users can send, receive and pay money instantly from their fingertips. Users can easily transfer money into eSewa wallet through mobile banking, Internet banking, and counter deposit at different banks and Cash Points. Fund loaded into eSewa can be used for making utility payments, online shopping, airline ticketing, credit card payment, school fees payment, and more. While most of the payment services are free, there are few services, where customers are required to pay minimal charges.

There are certain services like bank transfer (bank withdraw), credit card bill payment and etcetera where charges depend on the transaction amount. These services are:

Bank transfer (Bank withdraw):

Rs. 100 – 1,000 0
Rs. 1,001 – 50,000 Rs. 10
Rs. 50,001 – 100,000 Rs. 20

Bank Withdraw up to Rs. 1,00,000 per transaction is available only for the Own Bank account saved in eSewa. For other accounts, the transaction limitations will remain Rs. 50,000 per transaction.

Bank withdraw to saved account:

eSewa users can add one personal bank account to “saved accounts”/”Free Account” where they can enjoy charge free withdraw facility. Users can withdraw free of charge up to amount NRS 5000 or 3 times a month (English Calender month). Once the withdrawal amount exceeds Rs. 5,000 or the count exceeds 3 times, they will be charged according to the above-mentioned bank transfer charges.

Credit Card Bill Payment:

Cash In:

Users can enjoy free cash-in services for up to 2 times per month or up to Rs. 10,000 per month whichever comes first. Exceeding this limit, customers will be charged with 0.5% of transaction amount for every transaction.

Cash Out:

Service charge of 1% of transaction amount will be applicable for every cash-out transaction.

This charge for Broker Payment has been waived until further notice.

MeroShare/ Demat

Service charge of Rs. 2 per transaction is applicable on MeroShare effective from Poush 17, 2077 and service charge on DEMAT payments has been effective from Falgun 11, 2077.

Fund transfer to Chhimek Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd.

A service charge of Rs. 5 is applicable on each transaction.

Load via Card

A transaction processing fee of 1.75% is levied in the total load amount. Also, users are able to load Rs. 10,000 per transaction, Rs. 25, 000 per day, and Rs. 50, 000 per month while using a card.

A service charge of Rs. 10 is applicable on each transaction.

Auditor’s Association of Nepal (AUDAN)

Mentioned below are the service charges applicable on the Membership Renewal fee payment of AUDAN.

Service charge of Rs. 20 is applicable in admission form fee payment of Agriculture and Forestry University-FoF.

Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA)

Service charge of Rs. 5 on NEA bill payment of above Rs. 500 to 5 Lakh is applicable from Ashoj 1, 2078. No charges are levied on bill payment below Rs. 500.
