eSewa Tariffs

These tariffs were last updated on October 09, 2023, and are applicable from October 09, 2023.

eSewa is Nepal’s first mobile wallet. eSewa users can send, receive and pay money instantly from their fingertips. Users can easily transfer money into eSewa wallet through mobile banking, Internet banking, and counter-deposit at different banks and Cash Points. Fund loaded into eSewa can be used for making utility payments, online shopping, airline ticketing, credit card payment, school fee payment, and more. While most of the payment services are free, there are few services, where customers are required to pay minimal charges.

There are certain services like bank transfer (bank withdrawal), credit card bill payment etc. where charges depend on the transaction amount. These services are:

ATM Withdrawal:

A flat service charge of Rs. 15 per transaction will be applicable on the service of ATM Withdrawal from eSewa Account effective from 1st July 2023. 

Bank transfer (Bank withdrawal):

Bank Withdraw up to Rs. 1,00,000 per transaction is available only for the Own Bank account saved in eSewa. For other accounts, the transaction limitations will remain at Rs. 50,000 per transaction.

Education Fee Payment

A service charge of Rs. 10 is applicable on each transaction.

Micro Finance Payment

Government Payment

The service charge on Government payments from eSewa is listed below:

Health Insurance Board

Customers will be charged Rs. 5 per transaction while making Health Insurance Board renewal payments from eSewa.

eScrow

A KYC-verified eSewa user can transfer funds to the other KYC-verified eSewa user with “eScrow”. The feature is applicable in a minimum transfer of Rs. 100 and a maximum of Rs. 25,000. There are certain charges applicable in the use of the service which are to be borne by the receiver. The charges applicable are mentioned below:

The fee of Rs. 50 is charged to either the sender or receiver for verification purposes, depending on whom the transaction is settled too. So, we kindly request you to carefully consider your decision before filing a complaint.

Load via Card

A transaction processing fee of 1.75% is levied on the total load amount. Also, users are able to load Rs. 10,000 per transaction, Rs. 25, 000 per day, and Rs. 50, 000 per month while using a card.

A service charge of Rs. 10 is applicable on each transaction.

Auditor’s Association of Nepal (AUDAN)

Mentioned below are the service charges applicable on the Membership Renewal fee payment of AUDAN.

Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA)

A service charge of Rs. 5 on NEA bill payments of above Rs. 500 to 5 Lakh is applicable from Ashoj 1, 2078. No charges are levied on bill payments below Rs. 500.

Community Electricity

A service charge of Rs. 7 will be applicable on payment of the community electricity bill.

Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (KUKL)

Mentioned below are the service charges applicable on bill payments of KUKL:

Terms and conditions:

  • Users are prohibited from using eSewa services to enable payments for the services and goods deemed illegal by the prevalent laws of Nepal.
  • Transfer funds to your trusted contacts only (or, only after meeting with the person face-to-face). eSewa will not be liable if the receiver defaults from his/her promise to repay, return, or deliver the goods or services promised against the transfer.
