1. Pickup

Pickup is a very much similar process to your normal remittance cash out process, you will need to log in to your eSewa account and fill in the following information:

  • Enter 10 digit Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) number provided by the sender.
  • Purpose of transfer [select anyone:- personal use, family maintenance, medical expenses, educational expenses, professional service]
  • Relationship to sender [select anyone:- father, mother, wife, husband, son, daughter, brother, sister, friend, other relatives, partner]

After entering these details you will receive the remitted money in your eSewa wallet instantly. Or alternatively, customers can visit any of the western union outlets and get the money out.

2. Auto Delivery/ Receive

Auto Delivery/ Receive is a process where you can receive money directly to their mobile numbers. Unlike, Pickup process you do not need to enter the MTCN number to receive remitted money into your eSewa wallet.

You will receive an SMS notification on the 1st day from eSewa about the money remitted to their mobile. If you do not respond/act on this, then you will receive another message on the 7th, 14th and 21st day respectively, notifying that they have received money in their mobile number.

You should log in to eSewa and enter the following details and have access to your money.

  • Purpose of transfer [select anyone:- personal use, family maintenance, medical expenses, educational expenses, professional service]
  • Relationship to sender [select anyone:- father, mother, wife, husband, son, daughter, brother, sister, friend, other relatives, partner]

 

 FAQ’s

1. What if the money is not received by the mentioned process through pick up?

This can happen only if the information provided by you and your sender does not match; in this case, the process enters the second phase where you should enter few more details in the given fields like :-

  • Expected amount, sender’s country name, sender’s first name, sender’s last name, etc
  • If all the additional details are correct, then you will receive the money in your eSewa account. If the problem still exists, then give us a call at our toll free number

2. How can I receive money through “Receive” process?

SMS notification is sent to your mobile number where the money is sent by the sender as soon as the remittance is done. Register your mobile number with eSewa and get verified if you are not already. Now, log on to eSewa website and click on the receive button under Western Union. If you don’t initiate this process after the first SMS notification then you will receive another message on the 7th, 14th and 21st day respectively, notifying that you have received money in eSewa.
If you still don’t take any steps then the transaction will be canceled on the 45th day.

3. Is it required to enter customer’s name and address every time they log on?

No, once you become a verified customer of eSewa, your data/information are saved in the eSewa’s database, this means customers don’t have to enter all the basic details every time they use the service.

4. Are all the Customers registered in eSewa eligible to receive money?

Yes. All the verified eSewa customers with at least one mobile number are eligible to use this service. Verify your account by uploading your citizenship photocopy and a passport size photo

5. Do I need to verify each time I have to receive money?

No. Once the verification is done you can use this service time and again without registration.

6. What if I am verified with two mobile numbers?

In eSewa you have one default mobile number which is primary mobile number, so the SMS is sent to that mobile number.

7. What can I do with the amount in eSewa?

You can enjoy all the eSewa services like mobile recharge, flight ticket reservation, bus ticket reservation, online shopping, paying school fees and lot more.

If you wish to withdraw the eSewa amount in cash,
You can visit eSewa Agent. (or)
Use the option-withdraw to the bank and transfer fund from your eSewa wallet to your bank account.

8. What should I do if I am not registered or not verified in eSewa?
