Merchant link is a swift account switch feature wherein eSewa Users/Agents will be able to link their eSewa ID to their eSewa Merchant Account and access it from their eSewa App itself. The eSewa merchant account must have that particular eSewa ID as a settlement account for this feature to be available to the eSewa User. With Merchant Link, eSewa aims to empower its merchants by offering them a user-friendly interface and a range of features that streamline their financial activities and enhance their overall business experience.

How to link your merchant account with your personal account? 

Users can link their Merchant Account by following the steps: 

  • Login to your eSewa App  
  • Click “More” on the bottom right of the homepage  
  • Click on Link Merchant Account  
  • Select Merchant from the list  
  • Send SMS to receive OTP  
  • Complete the OTP Process

Frequently Asked Questions 

1. What is the first process of Merchant Link?  

The eSewa Merchant must have an “eSewa ID” as the settlement account. However, it need not be the primary settlement account. Merchant can keep a bank account as the default/primary for auto settlement.  

 

2. How can I add an eSewa ID in the settlement account?  

The merchant should email [email protected] with the request to add an eSewa ID for the Merchant Link, including the required details.  

 

3. Why are multiple merchants shown during the Merchant Link process?  

Multiple accounts are shown during the Merchant Link process because you might have multiple eSewa merchant wallets for your different businesses where the same eSewa ID has been linked for settlement.  

 

4. Can I link my QR business account if I have a Fonepay QR from a bank?  

No, you must have a Fonepay QR provided or acquired by eSewa to use the Merchant Link service for your QR Business account.

 

5. Can I link a sub-merchant QR as Merchant Link?  

Currently, the service is not available for sub-merchants. We will introduce this feature soon. 

   

6. Can I change the Merchant Link eSewa ID?  

Yes, you can. You need to remove the current Merchant Link and request a new eSewa ID for Merchant Link through email.
