Managing unexpected expenses can be stressful, but now there’s a smarter way to access funds. We are excited to introduce the Loan Against Insurance Policy feature on eSewa! This new service allows policyholders to quickly secure a loan using their insurance policy, making it easier than ever to meet urgent financial needs, right from your phone.
Currently, this feature is available for Citizen Life Insurance policyholders, with more insurance partners coming soon.
How to Apply?
- Login to your eSewa app.
- Go to the ‘Insurance’ section.
- Click on ‘Loan on Policy’ under ‘Life Insurance’ section.
- Enter your policy number (as provided by your insurer).
- Enter the desired loan amount and tap Proceed.
- Select your loan purpose and submit.
Things to Remember Before Applying:
- You must have a Linked Bank Account in your eSewa.
- KYC Verification in eSewa is mandatory.
- The mobile number in your eSewa ID must match the number registered with your insurer.
- The date of birth in your eSewa KYC must match the insurer’s records.
- Current loan limit: Rs. 5,000 – Rs. 50,000.
