As the lockdown period continues, people, especially youths are on a productivity spree, trying to make the most of our time with learning new recipes, joining online classes, trying out new hobbies, etcetera. We are also spending more time online surfing Facebook, Instagram, and other social media. While we are spending much of our time on social media, why not make this time more entertaining as well as knowledgeable?
With these thoughts of merging entertainment and knowledge, Glocal After School- Academy of Employability Skills in association with eSewa and Nabil Bank jointly organized online quiz competition- Knowledge Maestro- Young Nepal edition. We had participants who were from 15 to 25 years of age. The competition officially began on 24th April 2020 with 200 applicants playing in the first round.
The 200 contestants were narrowed down to 24 contests in the next round, and then 16 contestants made it to the semi-finals. From there, 8 contestants made it to the Finale, which took place on 28th April 2020. Ishwar Kc, Nakul Regmi, and Pallavi Shrestha were able to secure third, second, and first place, winning Rs. 10,000, Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 30,000 respectively.
During the Finale, our customers also had the chance of winning Rs. 200 in their eSewa account by answering the questions of the quiz right in our eSewa Facebook page’s comment section.
