Nepal Celebrates 1st Official ICT Day

Today, on the occasion of the eighth National ICT (Information and Communication Technology) Day, we would like to wish all our users, stakeholders, merchants, agents and partners and hope for greener IT initiatives in the coming future.

This day, which was celebrated as IT Day in the previous years, has been established as ‘National ICT Day’ from this year onwards. To mark the day, ‘Prabhat Feri Karyakram’ was organized by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology in association with CAN (Computer Association of Nepal) and Nepal Telecom.

On the spirit of ICT celebration, we initiated a social awareness march that started from Bhrikutimandap to Basantapur. After a brief session on the importance of IT in development, we marched back to Bhrikutimandap. Participation was seen from various other tech companies and colleges alike. This day also comes as an effort from the government to establish, encourage, and implement ICT practices across all government and non-government sectors of the country.

From our inception in 2009, we have been striving to achieve digital independence across the country.
